Happy Birthday Nathan!

 Happy birthday Nathan, I cannot believe that you are two years old today!  It feels like just yesterday that the nurse put you in my arms for the first time and now you have turned into the sweetest little boy I could have ever asked for.  The past two years have definitely been the best two years of my life and I owe that all to you.  You have brought so much joy and happiness into our family and your dad and I could have never imagined that you would make us so happy.

You have gone from a helpless baby to an extremely independent little boy who thinks he should do everything himself from eating to bathing to putting on your own shoes.  You get so proud of yourself when you master a new task and are one determined little kid!  You have definitely become mommy's little helper and your favorite chore is doing laundry although you will settle for washing dishes or sweeping the kitchen floor. 

Your love for motorcycles and ATVs has your mom panicking and your dad proud and beaming from ear to ear.  You love to spend time with daddy in the shop helping dad "fix" the motorcycles and going for rides around the backyard.  You love tools and we have caught you in daddy's tool box too many times to count. 

You recently have started talking up a storm and more than that you have found a love of music.  You know so many songs but your favorites are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row, Row, Row your Boat, Wheels on the Bus, and Take Me Out to the Ball Game.  You insist on getting sung to before bed and quite often we hear you singing yourself to sleep long after we have said goodnight. 

Every night when I rock you before bed I look at you and am amazed that I get to call you my son.  You are so sweet and smart and can light up the room with  your smile.  Your daddy and I love you so much and are excited to spend another wonderful year with you!
