Conference Weekend

This past weekend was a General Conference Weekend.  I started looking forward to this weekend three months ago and it did not disappoint.  It was filled with uplifting conference talks, yummy food, lots of family time, and of course the annual girls night out.

Saturday morning always consists of donuts from Rogers Bakery (seminary donuts) which Nathan absolutely LOVED!  Matt and I then split up for the Saturday sessions so that he can spend time with his dad and I can work on a project with my mom and Brittany. 

Normally we try to get our conference projects all figured out so that we can start right at 10 but Brittany turned out to be the only one prepared.  She painted block letters that spell out "Grinch".  While she painted and watched the baby my mom and I ran to wood connection and picked up wood blocks that stacked into vertical pumpkins.  We painted like crazy and surprisingly finished up at 5:00 which is a record for us.

For our girls night out we decided to go to Iggy's with Rachel, Diane, and Brynlie and Emily met us there.  After dinner we hit carters and then met up with the boys at Diane's house for our traditional pie.  Nathan had so much fun playing with Rachel's daughter Brynlie and I couldn't believe how well they played together.  Brynlie was so sweet to always make sure Nathan had a toy and was constantly sharing what she was playing with.  It was so great to see Bruce and Diane, Robby, and Rachel's cute family!

Sunday we went to my mom's house for more donuts (of course!) and then watched the morning session with Matt's parents.  Nathan was an absolute angel baby and slept through the majority of the morning session. After conference Brittany and Bryce came over for lunch and then we went back to my mom's for the afternoon session.  Emily and Chase came over to my mom's after conference and we all got to have dinner together including Brittany's amazing brownies.

I will definitely have to re-listen to all of the sessions of conference because I spent a good chunk of the sessions chasing Nathan around but I still miraculously able to get quite a bit out of the conference talks this year.  It was such a great weekend and I am already counting down to the spring General Conference!
