At the Lake

Matt's aunt and uncle recently bought property at a private lake and invited us up for the day a few weeks back.  How cool is that!  The property is covered with fake grass and you can walk straight down to the man made beach with actual sand and then straight into the water!  The weather was perfect and not too hot and Luke and Nathan had an absolute blast playing in the sand.

The water was a little cool so the boys spent most of the time playing on the beach.  Nathan loved to go in and out of the water but hated when the waves from the boat would come and hit the sand, especially once Bryce built him a sand castle.  He would scream no no no! and try to protect his castle from falling apart.

After awhile on the beach we let the boys play in the tubes out in the water which they loved.  Luke was a little apprehensive but Nathan was all about it and Matt could not run up and down the beach fast enough.

So after about 20 minutes of this Matt and his uncle decided it would be a good idea to take Nathan out on the boat.  Good thing they didn't ask me my answer would have been a big fat no!

Nathan loved it except for when he got distracted  by the buoys in the water and forgot to hold and fell right into the cold water.  Matt jumped in after him and got to him really fast but oh he was mad at Matt and wanted his mommy after which was fine by me!

We had such a great time at the lake and it was a great way to end such a great summer.  Thanks to Kent and Diane for taking us, we can't wait until next year to go again!
